      Shirley F. (Ferguson) Gigliotti, 81

HAVERHILL, MA

Shirley F. (Ferguson) Gigliotti, 81, of Haverhill, died Thursday, August 26, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.                                                   

Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late, Harold A. and Margaret E. (Collins) Ferguson. She was a graduate of  St. James Grammar School and St. James High School, Class of 1946.   

Mrs. Gigliotti was employed as an Operator for the New England Telephone Company and retired in 1989 after a lengthy career that spanned over forty years.               

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and great-grandmother, Shirley enjoyed nothing more than time spent with her beloved family. She enjoyed a friendly card game and occasional trips to Foxwoods.                             

She leaves her beloved husband of sixty-two years, Albert M.Gigliotti, of Haverhill,  two sons, Michael and his wife Deborah Emery-Gigliotti, of Rochester, NH, Jack J. and his wife Lynn (German) Gigliotti, of Bradford, four daughters, Karen M. Agnew and her husband Thomas H. , of Methuen, Kathleen P. Fraza and her husband, Norman, of Haverhill, Mary M. Gigliotti-Roche, of Haverhill, Beverly Sheehan, of Haverhill, seventeen grandchildren, Michael Gigliotti, tricia Burke, Eric, Brian, and Amy Gigliotti, Christen Agnew, Tiffany Goodwin, Derek and Jeffrey Fraza, Corey Smith, Heidi McClintock, Meaghan, Lindsay, and Katelyn Roche, John and Kaicee Sheehan, and Adam St.George, 14 great-grandchildren, a brother William Ferguson and his wife Carole, of Salem, NH, a sister, Janet Ferguson, of Tewksbury, sisters in law, Tina Ferguson, of Haverhill, Marilyn Ferguson, of Tewksbury, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Louie A. Gigliotti, and brothers, Robert, John, Richard, and Eugene Ferguson.                                                                                                   

Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM in St. James Church, Winter St. Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Primrose St. Haverhill. Memorial donations may be made to the Louis Gigliotti Scholarship Fund, 100 Elliott Way, Haverhill, MA 01830.
