      Marilyn K. (LaPierre) Thornhill, 80

HAVERHILL, MA

Marilyn K. (LaPierre) Thornhill, 80, of Epping, formerly of Atkinson, NH and Haverhill, died Wednesday, March 8, at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH, after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Haverhill, and was raised by her late mother and step father, James Linehan and Katherine F. (Wedge). She attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a Graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1948. She attended Northern Essex Community College and received her degree in nursing.                                                              
As a Registered Nurse, Mrs. Thornhill was employed at a variety of many community hospitals, spending more than twenty years at the former Hale Hospital in Haverhill.

She leaves her eight children, Corliss E. “Chuck” Thornhill Jr and his wife Francine, of Salem, MA, Bruce P. Thornhill, of Nottingham, NH, Mark S. Thornhill, of Texas, James A. “Jay” Thornhill and his wife Donna, of Derry, NH, Katherine M. Dufresne and her husband, Norman, of North Carolina, Deborah A. Thornhilland her partner, Joyce Armstrong, of Epping, NH, Stephanie J. Sulesky and her husband Roger, of Haverhill, Valerie J. Milot, of Northwood, NH, five grandchildren, Mark Thornhill, Nina and Amy Dufresne, Jonathon Brown, and Erika Thornhill and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Leo LaPierre, Patricia Agnew, and Margaret.

Brown.Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service on Monday, March 14, at 10:00 AM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 13, from 2 until 4 PM and 7 until 9PM.  Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680 North Canton, OH 44720.
