      Marie E. (Gaudet) Eskel, 94

HAVERHILL, MA

Marie E. (Gaudet) Eskel, 94, of Haverhill, formerly of Lawrence, died Wednesday April 9 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill.

Born on Prince Edward Island, Canada, she was the daughter of the late, Beloni and Catherine (Gaudet) Gaudet. At a young age her family relocated to Lawrence where she attended Lawrence public schools and St. Mary’s High School. Mrs. Eskel was employed at Arlington mills in Lawrence before her many years spent at Western Electric in North Andover, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and All Saints Parish. A devoted mother and grandmother, she enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and the occasional friendly card game with her neighbors at Hadley West.

The widow of William Eskel, she leaves two daughters, Patricia M. (Evans) and her husband Louis Fogel, of Haverhill, Diane M. (Evans) and her husband John A. Reynolds, of Boca Raton, FL, a sister, Frances Fay, of Methuen, grandchildren, Laura D. and her husband Timothy Kimball, and Christine J. and her husband Nicholas Frascone, great-grandchildren, Kelcey and Daniel Salois, Emily Frascone, Matthew, Brian, and Elizabeth Kimball, and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to call on Friday (today) from 6 to 8 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held (tomorrow) Saturday at 9:30 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 AM in All Saints Church 120 Bellevue Ave, Haverhill. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, North Broadway, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Parish 120 Bellevue Ave, or St. Joseph’s School at All Saints Parish 56 Oak Terrace.
