Henry F. “Butch” Cook, 69, of Haverhill, died Sunday, July at the Lawrence General Hospital after being stricken ill suddenly at home.                                                                    

 

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of  Shirley M. (DeBlois) Cook- Cote and  the late, Henry F. Cook  Sr, he was stepson to the late Henry J. “Jake” Cote. He attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a Graduate of Haverhill Trade School, Class of 1959. He moved to California, where he met the love of his life, Diana  S. (Brown) and started their family. They moved to Texas for twelve years and relocated back to Haverhill wher he has stayed for the past forty years.                                                                                                    

 

Butch was a loveable man with a great sense of humor, he loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially hamming it up on kareoke night. He leaves many many friends and family members with fond memories, and sadness to his parting.               He was employed most recently by the Wave Guide Company, in Chelmsford. Previously, he worked for Schneider Automation, in North Andover, and Digital Corp., while living in Texas he owned and operated Angelo Foreign Auto Repair in San Angelo, TX.                                                                                                                                                          

He leaves his beloved wife of forty four years,  Diana S. (Brown) Cook, of Haverhill, sons, Stephen B. Cook, and his partner, Maria Bodon, of Haverhill, Shawne H. Cook, of Hampton, NH, daughters, Christina L. Callaway, and her husband Charles L., of Haverhill, Cheryl A. Tombarello, Coleen Hansen, and Lisa Sanford, all of Haverhill, two brothers, Frank W. Cook and Bruce A. Cook, both of Haverhill, four grandchildren, Michael A., Stephanie A. and Nicklos B. Cook, a great grandson, Enzo R. Mera, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William R. Cook, and a sister, Sharon M. Cook.                                                                                                                     

 

Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Wednesday, July 7, from 5 until 8 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125)  Haverhill. Funeral services and burial are private. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
