Grace E. (Taylor) Delaney, 77
HAVERHILL, MA
Grace E. (Taylor) Delaney, 77, died Sunday, December 26, at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center in Haverhill after a lengthy illness.
Born in Lenoxdale, MA on December 5, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ada (Robinson) Taylor. She attended Lawrence Public Schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1952.
Relocating to Haverhill in 1962, she and her husband Frank settled in the Acre section of the city to raise their family. An active reader and seamstress in her spare time, she made beautiful quilts. She was also an active member of St. James Parish, where she taught CCD Classes and helped in the planning of the yearly Christmas Bazaar.
Grace is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Frank P. Delaney, two sons, Timothy F. Delaney of Mansfield, MA and Kevin C. Delaney and his wife Stacey L. of Satellite Beach FL; two daughters, Faith E. Delaney of Newburyport, MA and Ann C. Anderson and her husband Karl O. of Londonderry, NH; six grandchildren, Matthew F., Ian F., Kaedin, and Brienna Delaney and Kaitlin and Nathan Anderson; and a sister, Doris Owens of Banning, Ca. She was predeceased by a brother, Alfred Taylor, and three sisters: Phyllis Taylor, Alice Taylor, and Ada Gallant.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, from 5 until 8 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. James Church, Winter St., Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Primrose St., Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley, Inc., Development Office, 360 Merrimack Street, Bldg. #5, Lawrence, MA 01843.
