      Dorothy L. (Danforth) Ridlon, 67

HAVERHILL, MA

Dorothy L. (Danforth) Ridlon, 67, of Salisbury, formerly of Haverhill, died Friday, October 21, at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen after a lengthy illness.

Born in Haverhill, March 4, 1944, she was the daughter of the late, Harvey E. and Evelyn M. (Sayers) Danforth. Educated in Haverhill Public Schools, she attended Haverhill High School. She began her career working in the Kramer Shoe in Haverhill and later she was employed as an assembler at Western Electric in North Andover.

A devoted mother and grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family, going camping, and cooking. For entertainment she liked playing BINGO, and she held fond memories of her travels to Holland and Germany.

She leaves her beloved children, a son, John E. Danforth, of Haverhill, a daughter and son in law, Donna J. and William F. Howarth, of Lawrence, three cherished grandchildren, Bradly W. and Alisha D. Howarth, and Victoria Danforth, four brothers, Earl Danforth, and his wife Rae, of Hampstead, NH, Harold Danforth, of Haverhill, David Danforth, and his wife, Bernadette, of Clearwater, FL, and Norman Danforth, and his wife Susan, of Newark, NY, four sisters, Barbara Lawrence, of Kingston, NH, Shirley Page, of Atkinson, NH, Evelyn Gulledge and her husband Theodore, of Shrewsbury, Linda Kinnison and her husband, Ronald, Sandra Pontbriand, sister in law, Gerry Danforth, of Haverhill, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Robert Sayers, and Donald and Harvey Danforth.

Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Monday from 5 until 8 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will follow the period of visitation at 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial is private.
